Julie Kassel Joins Orangetown Daily Voice As Community Advisor

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Julie Kassel, a Family Resource Center Coordinator (FRC) in Valley Cottage Elementary School, in the Nyack School District, is one of Daily Voice's community advisors for Orangetown.

Community advisors provide Daily Voice with tips for local news and events.

Julie was the first FRC Coordinator hired in Rockland County and has enjoyed serving the Nyack community in this capacity for 18 years. Prior to her Family Resource Center work, she spent four years as a Special Education teacher in New York City and in northern California. 

Although Julie grew up in West Nyack, she fell in love with Nyack from an early age, spending many Saturday mornings at her dad’s law office next to the Hopper House. 

She also has fond memories of spending time with friends and going to Pete Seeger concerts when the Hudson River Sloop would stop in Nyack. Julie and her husband Steve Cea have two grown children, Max and Emily Cea.
